Juice Detox Day 6: Have Juice, Will Travel

Today I was faced with a logistical juice challenge. The plan for the morning was to head off to Swanage for a coastal run followed by a dip in the sea, so I was up at early o'clock juicin' and blendin'. One flask was filled with pear and parsnip soup whilst another flask was filled with a mid-morning juice full of ginger, yellow pepper, apples and other goodies.

Perfect dose of antioxidants after
a long run!
..and a lovely warming soup  by
the sea
A beautiful jaunt along the Jurassic Coast ensued with fellow tri-clubber, Frances, who patiently listened to me banging on about how brilliant juicing is. We made it back to the car and I gave her a taster, she thoroughly approved and is now keen to jump on the juice bandwagon!

The sea was wonderfully flat and calm, perfect for a swim. It was however, colder than expected,
so the soup went down brilliantly afterwards.

Then this evening, something really exciting happened. There was a SALAD on my menu plan. Actual food, stuff I could chew! I spent what seemed like ages chopping up bits and pieces to go in, it seemed a bit labour intensive compared to chucking whole fruits and vegetables in the juicer. It was worth the effort, and tasted fabulous. I felt really, strangely full after as well, full on salad, who'd have thought?!

Day 6 down and still feeling marvellous. I'm a little bit sad that tomorrow is the last day!
