As a result of not being able to do my usual exercise and having serious bike withdrawal symptoms, I've even been laying in bed lazily in the mornings rather than the usual jumping up and hitting the day with a running start. Not only that but the eating has gone downhill too, more than downhill actually, more like fallen off a cliff! I've been finding myself exhibiting zero willpower and have been letting myself have any treats going "because I have a sore back". I amazed the ladies in my office as I recalled my attack of the munchies one evening last week, I'm even too embarrassed to say what I ate but it was pretty impressive.
I haven't really worried about my weight either since breaking the 9 stone barrier for good last year; so long as my jeans stay baggy and my biceps look massive (!) then I'm happy. But, since coming back from the eating epic that was Canada and then sinking into a far more sedentary lifestyle, I can feel the pounds piling on and something has to be done.
So, in order to cheer myself up in the class Egg Goes Healthy way, it's time for a challenge. As I'm unable to engage in a physical challenge for the moment, it shall be a challenge of eating only healthy foods for four weeks, as that is when I am supposed to be competing at Bala Triathlon (which, fingers crossed, I shall still be able to).
Starting tomorrow (because I have already eaten sweets and cookies today), I am banned from the following foods:
Sweets
Crisps
Biscuits/Cookies
Ice Cream
Anything resembling a cake
Chocolate bars
Takeaways
Wine
Not for me thanks! |
Let the challenge commence!
..after I've had a curry..
Brilliant! X
